Brexit affected Britain in negative ways such as business struggling, trade with other nations declining, and young workers have trouble with jobs. That is my thesis and then I will include a few paragraphs about what Brexit actually was and why it happened. After this, I will talk about these problems that are affecting Britain and why they are bad. Then I will give the counterargument about what was good that happened because of Brexit. At the very end, I will restate the thesis and conclude the paper with some other information about Brexit. 

This week has been an eventful week. We have had lots of assignments in every class and even the hardest math test of the year. I studied for the math test by taking two practice tests and still did not do too hot on it. I feel like as the weeks go on they go by faster and slower at the same time. It has felt like we have been going to school with no breaks for a while at this point in the year.

I am so glad that next week is a four-day week and then we get the week off for Easter break. Even with all of this going on I am excited about improving Coronavirus restrictions and the weather is changing to where the grass is growing. This is good because I can start working more and make some money to put into my savings.

This past weekend the weather was beginning to get warmer. This is good for me because of my landscaping business. I have been working very hard over the last two summers to grow my business and really get a lot of jobs. I have received so many phones calls and text it can be overwhelming at times. Even with all of this, I am very excited for this upcoming season.

As of now, I am booked for the next month with 4 large landscaping jobs. I also have cut 30 yards a weekend along with any other ones we add to our schedule. This is hard to keep up with but is very worth it in my opinion. In all I am very proud of myself and I hope to keep this going throughout college.

Deep faking is a very scary thing that has been happening recently. It is when a picture or video is altered to show someone that it is not. This is often used to spread false or misinformation. This process can take videos and pictures and change the faces as well as make fake audio as if that person were actually speaking. When someone skilled does this it can be very hard to tell if it is fake or real.

Deep fakes are not all negative as some people are using them to make deceased family members come back and speak and to make people relive certain moments in their lives. People are able to see their loved ones speak and this can make some happy while others don’t like the idea. Deep faking has its ups and downs but it can mostly be used for negative purposes.

Every year I feel that I don’t really learn much in English class, however, this year is very different. This year we started off online and as a class, we picked a topic. I feel like the way that we learn in English III this year has helped me actually learn some of this information. I feel that I can be better at discussion now that we have had many discussions in English III. I also feel that I have a way better understanding of poetry.

I feel like this quarter I have learned more than the previous quarter because we switched from poetry to more normal text. I am better at normal text because poetry is not my favorite topic. I also learned a lot from the recent assignments we have done. The recent work we have done has also made me better at displaying what we have learned. Overall I am a more polished English student now and I know how to do more things.

This week I have been trading stock options and talking to Thomas a lot. It has been an interesting week and I have been listening to calls from Matthew. Yesterday he actually gave me a terrible call in ROKU and it went down 100% and I lost all 90 dollars that I put in. This was very annoying but I understand that it works like that sometimes. I plan on trying to make that money back and more next week.

I put another 100 dollars in my account and the day after I lost 90 I made back 27 so I am now at 137. I still am doing big and I am hoping next week I will find another call or put that will put me back into the green. Another thing that happened this week was I got a 94 on a pre-cal math test which made me very happy. In all, I have had a good week.

 

The Searcher is so far my favorite book we have read this year and is actually a very interesting book. Although it is not like the typical crime or mystery that is one of the topics I actually enjoy. It is particularly interesting because the main character does not actually even know what is happening for a while and it is an interesting viewpoint. One thing I found odd was how the sheep were killed and was wondering about what the connection was.

One thing that I noticed while reading is that the book is kind of slow-paced. Even though it is kind of slow it is not too slow to continue reading. Also, the characters were introduced as the book went on instead of in one moment which I feel improved the book. So far I think The Searcher is a good novel and I am excited to see where it goes.

I am having a good time at school recently. This year every class has pretty much been what I am used to except for math. Also as this month comes to a close it is almost time to start cutting grass again. This past year I have cut a lot of grass and as the winter months came grass stops growing. This is something I am looking forward to because it is a great way to make some money that I can spend on whatever I want.

Also, school is flying by at this point and Junior year is more than halfway over. I always thought that high school would take forever and I would be very bored with it, however at this moment I am more than halfway done. In general, I am very glad that this time of year is coming around because it brings many things that are exciting such as summer almost being here.

The Saints played the Bucs in what many thought would be a good game. Most Saints fans thought that the Saints had a great shot to win considering they had beaten the Bucs 38-3 just a month ago. The game started off good and the Saints got a field goal so they were up 3-0. Soon after things took a turn for the worst when Jared Cook fumbled the football and Drew Brees proceeded to throw 3 interceptions. This was very hard to watch considering I have looked up to Brees for most of my life. I remember being really little sitting on the couch with my family watching Brees win the Saints their first Superbowl in 2010. The Saints ended up losing the game 30-20.

Drew Brees likely played his final game in the NFL. Watching him go out like this was saddening considering he is one of the best if not the best quarterbacks to ever pick up a football. He is the NFL’s all-time leading passer, has thrown the most touchdown passes in NFL history, and holds the record for most completions in the NFL. Right after the game, however, his wife revealed he had been dealing with more injuries than many thought. This could possibly mean that he wants to return for one more year and have another shot at going to the Superbowl. Even if he doesn’t come back to the NFL I will always cherish the memories of watching Brees play football.

I recently started watching the Mandalorian and It is a really good show. As of right now it only consists of two seasons with 8 episodes per season. It follows the story of a bounty hunter and I think that is really cool because it is less focused on the Jedi storyline. The episodes are very well made and the cinematography is very good.

Another aspect of this show I really enjoy is how it adds to the Star Wars storyline by showing Luke Skywalker at the very end. The main character is also really well done even though you barely even get to see his face. He faces lots of adversity and goes through many adventures to get to his main goal and I really enjoyed that. I also thought that the ending of season two was very good and I am very excited for when season three comes out.
